Comprehensive Textbook of Genitourinary Oncology was the first major textbook to focus on the field of genitourinary oncology from the combined perspectives of the molecular biologist, pathologist, oncologist and urologist. The first edition of the book had three fundamental goals: 1) to be a textbook that could be read and used by practicing physicians, 2) to be an authoritative textbook for basic scientists, 3) to be an effective interpretation of this field for trainees in surgery, medical and radiation oncology, and pathology.
