Neuroradiology
by Juan M. Taveras, John Pile-Spellman
Hardcover - 1190 pages 3nd edition (January 15, 1996)
Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins;
The first and second editions (1964 and 1976) were authored by Ernest H. Wood (now deceased) and were published under the title Diagnostic Neuroradiology. Because of radical changes in the field, only a small portion of the second edition could be used in the third, and the title was changed to reflect a changed emphasis. An introductory chapter and discussion of imaging procedures and of anatomy of the central nervous system start off the volume, followed by 15 chapters describing pathologic conditions discussing what imaging methods can be used for diagnosis. The scope is exclusively neuroradiology, and not the radiology of the head and neck. One important chapter on endovascular therapeutic neuroradiology was authored by a contributor, John Pile-Spellman. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
